How To Play Sorcerer: Rules Summary

Setup

1. Gather your team of 2-4 players, and prepare for battle!

2. Each player selects a character, better known as a ‘Sorcerer’. Choose wisely for each has unique abilities. I’m still salty because my friend chose the character I had my eye on last time.

3. Shuffle the three decks: Character, Lineage, and Domain. Merge one of each type to form your personal deck of doom, or you know, just a deck.

4. Place the battleground board at the center. This is where the magic happens, quite literally.

5. Choose a starting player. I suggest drawing straws, or whoever last won a game of Rock-Paper-Scissors. The chosen one receives the first player marker.

Gameplay

1. Play your turn in phases: Draw, Energize, Action, and End. Don’t forget the order, or chaos may ensue!

2. In the Draw phase, grab cards until you have 5 in hand. Lucky you, if you start with a great combo!

3. Next, Energize with two energy points. It’s like drinking an espresso shot, but for your cards.

4. During the Action phase, use energy to play cards, or even flex with powerful abilities. Yes, it’s just like being a wizard.

5. Finally, in the End phase, discard any extra cards because hoarding isn’t allowed here.

6. Repeat until your great victory or epic defeat!

Winning

1. Dominate two out of the three battlegrounds to seal your victory. Easy peasy, right? Well…maybe not.

2. Calculate the damage on each battleground, like a board game mathematician. The highest wins control. It’s all about numbers, not magic here!

Special Rules & Conditions

1. In case of ties, draw cards to break it or have an epic dice roll face-off. I always lose these, but they add drama!

2. Keep an eye on your hand limit. Just like shopping bags, you can only carry so much.
