How To Play Red Dragon: Rules Summary

Alright, folks, gather ’round because it’s time to learn How To Play Red Dragon! I spent last Saturday night battling it out with my friends and now I’m here to share the secrets. We laughed, we cried, someone spilled salsa on the board – good times!

Setup

  1. Each player chooses a character deck. Make sure to pick wisely! I chose Zoe the Dragon Slayer because dragons beware! You fear her…or rather, me. I’m Zoe now, right?

  2. Play passes to the left. That’s if you’ve not had too much ale and remember left from right.

  3. On your turn, you can discard any cards before drawing to maintain seven cards. Drawing cards is my favorite part, it’s like finding lost socks but better!

  4. Play one card from your hand. Be strategic, unlike me who accidentally played a ‘Reveal Secret Hand’ card instead of ‘Attack’.

  5. Order a drink for another player. Making friends is all about sharing, right?

  6. Drink your drink, if you can remember where you put it.

Winning

  1. The last player standing with positive Fortitude wins. Last time I won, I danced around the living room – it was glorious.

  2. Eliminate others by lowering their Fortitude to zero. Not going to lie, it’s satisfying.

Special Rules & Conditions

  1. Watch out for cards with unique abilities. They can surprise you, like when my friend sneezed and accidentally launched a fireball at me. How rude!

  2. If you run out of Fortitude, you’re out. I believe the technical term is “gonzo.”

  3. Out of Gold? You owe your friends a drink. Cheers!

  4. Spilled drink on the board? That’s a house rule – and not my house!
