How To Play Mamma Mia!: Rules Summary

Setup
  1. Shuffle the ingredient cards and deal ten to each player.
  2. Place the remaining ingredient cards face down to form a draw pile.
  3. Shuffle the pizza recipe cards and place them face down in another pile.
  4. Each player draws a number of pizza recipe cards based on the number of players.
Gameplay
  1. On your turn, play one or more ingredient cards from your hand into the common pile.
  2. After placing ingredient cards, you may place one of your pizza recipe cards on top of the common pile.
  3. Draw new ingredient cards from the draw pile to replenish your hand back to ten cards.
  4. If the draw pile is empty, shuffle the discard pile to form a new draw pile.
Winning
  1. The game ends when the draw pile is empty and all players have played their pizza recipe cards.
  2. Reveal the pizza recipe cards and check if the necessary ingredients are in the common pile to fulfill the recipes.
  3. The player with the highest number of successfully completed pizza recipes wins the game.
Special Rules & Conditions
  1. If the ingredients in the common pile are not enough to complete a pizza recipe, the player can add the missing ingredients from their hand.
  2. Players can discuss and strategize openly, but cannot reveal their pizza recipes to others.
  3. If a player cannot play an ingredient card on their turn, they must draw a card and skip their turn.
  4. Leftover ingredient cards in players’ hands at the end of the game do not count towards completing pizza recipes.
