  4. Keep only five cards at the end of your turn. Discard extras.
  5. Play heads around the table clockwise. Yes, even after your cousin tries to play out of turn.

Winning

  1. The game ends when the gold deck runs out or someone shouts, “I have all the gold!” (loudly).
  2. Add up the value of gold in each player’s hand.
  3. The player with the most gold wins and earns bragging rights until next time. They should also provide snacks for the next game night.

Special Rules & Conditions

  1. If you draw a “Thief” card, you may steal one gold card from another player, but you must do it with flair.
  2. When someone plays a “Trap” card, everyone else cannot draw gold cards on their next turn.
  3. If two players tie for gold, settle it with a dramatic thumb war or an agreed upon mini-game.
