How To Play Cornerstone: Rules Summary

Setup

First, lay out the game board on a flat surface in the middle of all players.
Next, distribute the player pieces evenly. Each player gets a set of unique colored pieces.
Then, shuffle the resource cards and deal four to each player.
After that, place the remaining resource cards in a draw pile within everyone’s reach.
Finally, place the “Cornerstone” token at the center of the board to mark the starting point.

Gameplay

On your turn, draw two resource cards from the draw pile.
Next, you can either play a resource card to build on a Cornerstone or save it in your hand for a future turn.
Then, you may move one of your pieces to a connected space on the board, if the way is clear.
Finally, discard any extra cards if you have more than six at the end of your turn.

Winning

The game ends when one player has successfully built a complete path of connected pieces from one edge of the board to the opposite edge.
Alternatively, the game can also end when all resource cards are drawn. In that case, the player with the longest connected path wins.

Special Rules & Conditions

You can block opponents by placing your pieces in strategic positions. This can prevent them from forming a connected path.
If you draw a ‘Wild’ resource card, you can use it as any resource needed to build a piece.
Additionally, if you land on a Cornerstone space, you get an extra turn.
