How To Play Confrontation: Rules Summary

Setup
  1. First, each player picks a faction and grabs its miniatures, cards, and tokens.
  2. Next, shuffle the scenario deck and choose one at random. Place the board as told by the scenario.
  3. Players now take turns placing their figures in their starting zones. If you want to trash talk at this point, don’t hold back.
  4. Draw your starting hand of cards from your deck. Double check the rules, then forget them as soon as the game gets heated. Classic.
Gameplay
  1. On your turn, pick one unit to activate. You can move it, attack with it, or do something fancy with special actions if you like to show off.
  2. When attacking, roll dice according to your unit’s stats. Your opponent will roll to defend. Laugh maniacally if you roll sixes.
  3. Use cards from your hand for special effects, boosts, or to wiggle out of trouble. Never trust someone with too many cards.
  4. Keep alternating turns. Try to keep track—forgetting whose turn it is can turn into a shouting match (ask me how I know).
Winning
  1. You win by achieving the scenario’s goals. Most times, this means knocking out the other team’s units or holding spots on the board.
  2. If a player achieves the objective, don’t be shy about celebrating, but maybe let them wipe their tears first.
Special Rules & Conditions
  1. Watch for scenario twists: extra monsters, changing objectives, or events. These keep the game spicy. Spicier than my chili. That’s saying something.
  2. Some units have abilities that flip the script—read their cards to avoid surprises.
  3. If you run out of miniatures, cards, or hope, check the scenario for what happens next. Sometimes, it just means you lose with dignity (or without it).

And that’s How To Play Confrontation! Have a blast, and remember: strategy helps, but so does keeping your friends laughing.

Best Confrontation Strategies

Know Your Faction: The Secret to Winning Confrontation

Choose Your Side Wisely

First, pick a faction that fits your play style. I once grabbed a faction just because the mini looked like my uncle Ted. We lost. Hard.

  1. Test each faction with friends to spot weaknesses.
  2. Read the special powers, then ask yourself, “Do I want to attack or defend?”

Exploit Your Strengths

Next, lean into what your faction does best. My buddy Steve kept using a tanky team to rush objectives. It worked until we ganged up.

  1. Identify your strongest units early.
  2. Use their abilities often, not just in emergencies.

How To Play Confrontation Against Enemy Factions

Finally, when facing enemies, think ahead. Some factions crumble if you break their lines. Others love messy fights. Remember, knowing “How To Play confrontation” against each enemy gives you an edge.

  1. Learn your opponents’ signature moves.
  2. Bait them into using their big attacks early.

Mastering the Art of Resource Management in Confrontation

Plan Your Moves Ahead

  1. Keep your eye on both your resources and your opponents’.
  2. Consider upcoming turns before you spend anything.

Too often, I’ve run out of gold right before something important. It hurts more than stepping on a Lego.

Balance Spending and Saving

  1. Don’t blow all your loot on a single turn. Spread it out for flexibility.
  2. Switch gears if you notice someone hoarding too much.

Once, my friend saved up for ages. When he finally splurged, it was too late. We all laughed, except him.

Trade and Bluff

  1. Offer trades, but always consider what you’re giving up.
  2. Pretend you’re poorer or richer than you are when you can.

My poker face is terrible, but yours might win you the game! That’s how to play Confrontation smart.

Mastering Timing and Positioning in Confrontation

React Quickly to Changing Situations

In Confrontation, surprises happen fast. When the board shifts, act before your opponent. Never wait for the perfect moment—it rarely shows up.

  1. Move units to block attacks.
  2. Snatch objectives when they open up.
Pinpoint the Right Moment to Strike

Choosing when to hit hard is key. If you throw everything at the enemy too soon, you risk losing it all. Instead, wait for your foe to overextend.

  1. Strike when their defenses are weak.
  2. Withdraw if things look dicey.
Control Key Spaces

Take control of choke points early. This limits your rivals’ movement and gives you breathing room. Trust me, this saved my bacon many games.

  1. Hold tight to bottlenecks.
  2. Spread out to avoid area attacks.

Using the right timing and smart positioning in Confrontation will give you the edge. That’s How To Play confrontation like a champ!

Conquer or Be Conquered: Your Fate Awaits!

So that’s it—my slightly lopsided brain-dump on Confrontation strategy! I’ve lost, I’ve won, I’ve even knocked my own painted mini off the table (pro tip: don’t play next to your cat). If you remember the strengths of your faction, keep your resources steady, and move with purpose, you’ll be the boss more often than not. Now go out there, unleash your clever tricks, and show your friends who’s the overlord of cardboard smackdowns! And hey, if you forget a rule, just pretend it was all part of your master plan. Happy battling!

How To Play confrontation isn’t rocket science, but it’s twice as fun.
